Ziegler Rugs
Who was Philipp Ziegler?
Philipp Ziegler was the first European to make carpets in Persia. In the 1880s, he founded Ziegler & Co. with the vision of combining Persian weaving with European taste. The result was Ziegler rugs - beautiful, versatile and easily placed in our homes. Carpient's collection continues this tradition with rugs in modern materials that are both durable and comfortable to walk on.
Soft colors and subtle patterns
Ziegler rugs have a muted color palette that suits both modern and classic interior styles. The calm tones, often with a base of beige, are complemented by soft shades of red, blue, and brown. Their subtle patterns bring a low-key elegance and create a relaxing atmosphere in any room.
Decorate with Ziegler rugs: Room by room
Living room: Place a large round or rectangular Ziegler rug in the center to spread calm and warmth throughout the room, without stealing focus from the rest of the decor. If you place the rug under a sofa set, let the furniture stand partially or completely on the rug to tie the sofa group together. A smaller rectangular rug or runner is perfect in front of the fireplace to create a cozy gathering place.
Kitchen: Place a Ziegler runner by the sink or kitchen island to add comfort where you stand a lot, or place a larger round or rectangular rug under the dining table. In an open-plan setting, it will help define the dining area and create a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
Bedroom: In the bedroom, Ziegler rugs create a soothing atmosphere. Putting your feet on a warm rug when you wake up is a great way to start the day. Place a larger round or rectangular rug under the bed, so that part of it sticks out at the sides, or place a smaller rug at the sides of the bed. We offer many blue Ziegler rugs that enhance the calming feeling of the room.
Hallway: The subtle patterns and muted colors of Ziegler rugs make an inviting first impression. Let a runner lead into the living space or consider a round rug to further soften the hallway. Keep in mind that darker colors, such as red, hide dirt better.
Dining room: Place a Ziegler rug under the dining table to give the functional room a warm and cohesive feel. For best results, choose a rug large enough to accommodate the chairs even in the extended position.
Office: In the study, a Ziegler rug creates a relaxing atmosphere that promotes both focus and creativity. Choose a round Ziegler rug to make the room feel bigger! The soft edges break the lines of the room and give a feeling of more space.
